The colour of patriotism and respect for feminism was spread all over in the environment as the students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula held a special assembly to commemorate 68th Republic Day and National Girl Child Day.
The students paid their tribute to the national heroes by singing patriotic songs and by role modelling them.
The Girl Child Day was celebrated by participating in the ‘PINK TURBAN’ campaign. The idea was to spread the message of ‘ RISING GIRLS & EMPOWER WOMEN’. Nearly 200 students took part in it, the boys clad themselves with pink stoles and the girls wore pink turbans. They assembled in the school ground and stood in the form of symbol representing female gender. The boys took a pledge to respect the women and also vowed to protect their rights.
Sr. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Shashi Banerjee applauded the efforts of the young Bhavanites and encouraged them to keep their words of vow.
