CBSE Regional Science Exhibition hosted by the school from 17th-19th December 2015 put on display the scientific and mathematical skills of 238 students through 119 models. The models were exhibited under 6 sub themes – Health & Nutrition, Agriculture and Food Safety, Resource Management, Industry, Disaster Management, Mathematics in Daily Life and others. The exhibition proved to be an excellent interactive, innovative, creative & hands-on learning experience for students and for the teachers.
The Grand event saw the school completely decked up with flambuoyant banners & other decorations, building up the scientific fervor.
The opening ceremony on 17th December 2015, started with the lamp lighting by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Shri. R.J. Khanderao,Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula and was presided over by Shri Amarjeet Goyal, Vice – Chairman, Managing Committee. The School Sr. Principal, Dr. (Smt.) Shashi Banerjee extended a warm welcome to the guests and participants, the tempo for the event was set by a welcome song & Haryanavi Dance along with a mime, depicting the ‘Misuse of mobile phones’. In his speech, Shri R.J. Khanderao encouraged the budding scientists to expand the radius of science and use its concepts in a constructive manner, in our everyday lives. He went through each and every exhibit, put up by the participating schools, appreciating their efforts.proficient in their respective fields – Dr. Anita Vasudeva, Dr. Ravindra Kaul, Dr. SS Tomar, Dr. Gulzar Singh, Dr. PS Salaria & Sh. RC Arora; very minutely went through each and every exhibit, judging the conceptual knowledge of students and giving them valuable suggestions and guidance. By the afternoon of 18th December 2015, the first level of the judgement was completed and exhibits were shortlisted for the 2nd round.
After the final judgement on 19th December 2015, 22 exhibits in all were selected for the participation at the National Level (results attached). The results were announced during a well planned valedictory function by the Chief Guest – Shri Kulwant Singh (IAS), Chief Secretary Haryana (Retd.) , the Founder Chairman of the school. Shri Kulwant Singh, in his speech, congratulated the winners and urged them to apply what they learn in classes to their everyday lives. A soul stirring sufi dance by Bhavanites brought the curtains down on the three days mega event.
The escort teachers of the schools were engaged in special sessions hosted by eminent professionals, ‘Stress management’, by a renowned psychiatrist of the region – Dr. Vijay Girdhar, ‘CBSE online labs’ by Amrita Create- Chennai, and ‘Internet Addiction’ by Dr. Ruby, a renowned psychiatrist proficient in deaddiction cases.
The mega event proved to a grand success as the students and teachers alike, took part very enthusiastically, in the exhibition.
