Students of classes XI and XII organized Deepawali celebration in the school campus for the students of ‘Chetna’- a school for the under privileged and economically deprived being run by the institution. Students of XI and XII became the torch bearers of the tradition of Bhavan Vidyalaya to light sparkles in the hearts of these students by making them feel special.
Students of Chetna School were excited to the core and their enthusiasm could be witnessed when they sparkled colours of different hues in Rangoli competition. The celebration commenced by reciting prayers to the almighty and seeking blessings from the school Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shashi Banerjee who always lends a hand to the ones needing it. She is a soul who truly believes in charity and had conceived the idea of making Deepawali a special day for students of Chetna School. Students show their talent by singing songs and adding colour to the day.
The beaming eyes of the students became all the more shining when they got prizes and gifts of Deepawali. Students felt utter joy in lighting Candles and Diyas. The students were made aware about the ill effects of fireworks and hence encouraged to celebrate eco-friendly Deepawali.
